Humidity and Amygdala!?

Lately, I've been busying myself with some readings. I borrowed three heavy textbooks from the library and how I wish I can just buy it from there! It's so informative. 

So I'd like to share what struck me the most. One of the major implications that I got from  my readings is how our brain develops during the adolescent stage. There is a region in our brain called AMYGDALA that is responsible for processing information about emotions. This part develops and matures faster than our prefrontal cortext, which is especially important in higher-order cognitive functioning such as DECISION MAKING! "So this means that the brain region for putting the brakes on risky, impulsive behavior is still under construction." So my friends, this accounts for most of our reckless decision makings or emo-phases in life and I guess this explains why talking to a 14 or 16 year old can sometimes be unbelievably stressful when you've told them time and time again that what they're about to do is going to be a dead end, but they still end up doing it anyway. Hmmm, the science behind life.

THE RAIN has BEEN CRAY-CRAYYY!!! I sleep and it's raining. I wake up and it's still there! Noah, where is your ARK!?

Ohwells... I'm thankful that the cool breeze feels nice. But I won't be surprised if tomorrow's going to be hot and humid again.

Guitar

My friend was playing his guitar and I thought, "Hey, why not try it?" So he taught me four chords and ever since that time, I found myself hooked! I've been learning how to play the guitar and I can say it's been exciting! My dream to finally play an instrument and sing at the same time is slowly coming true. Watch out! I'm the next big thing. JK!

As you can see, I was being innovative and used a spoon as a pick.

David! David! David!!!

I met one of the sweetest guys in the world! He's so handsome, he has green eyes (but looks brown or hazel sometimes), beautiful smile, and AMMMAZZING voice! O.M.G. I would marry him but he's just 20!!! Everyone, meet my boyfriend, David Archuleta. Wahahaha.

 

So my uncle is the guy wearing plaid and here we are... havin a little chit chat :o) Wahahaha

Someone looks giddy. - - !

 Oh my... I was literally a kid again. Like I said before I've never been this excited about meeting a celebrity. Actually, I could care less. But because I know it's possible, WHHYYY not! And I love Archuleta... He's just a sweetheart. He's too lovable to turn down. Hoooo. I can't believe it. His hand, by the way, is like a baby's bottom lol!

It's been HOT HOT HOT!!!

The sudden change of weather is just killing me! Now it's extremely humid and hot. I feel the oils and sweat coming out of my system in this HOT AIR!  Ugh. Anyhoo, I've been missing for the past few days cause I guess you can say, I got a little tired of blogging ---- HUUUWAT!??? --- yeah, I became uninspired cause it's just too hot for photoshoots and what not. LOL!!! Am I being a DIVA? Hah! That's totally not the reason, Im just kidding.  So last Monday, I went to David Archuleta's concert. Yes, he is quite young for my age, but who doesn't appreciate a beautiful voice!?? He is just one sweet heart that I want to carry around in my pocket. He even made this little mistake while playing the piano and went completely blank. Haha, he tried to remember what the next chord was but laughed at himself as if he was playing in front of his friends. He was just adorable. Ugh. He's sweet. --- Do I sound like a crazy obsessed fan? Oh my. I hope not. But I've been stalking my uncle to introduce him to me. "UNNNCLLLLE!!!" 

BUT I might just meet him later! HAHAHAHA!!! WATCH OUT, YO!

The other day, sister and I went on a date to check out the Bodies Exhibit in Taguig! The place was breathtaking but unfortunately I can't show you just how AWESOME the place is cause pictures aren't allowed. Anyway, here are some photos taken in the permitted areas. 1. Nuts. Favorite are almonds!!! Wooop!
2. Neatness. I love neat, clean, organized spaces. I used to be a neat freak. I've toned down since I entered college... HA! My roommate once said, "If you can't beat them, join them..." Ugh. Worst decision ever.

1. Negativity! Lemme tell you, negative people suck the life out of you! People who have a dark cloud above them need to find joy and peace in JESUS!!! lol! (im guilty of this, too)
2. NAUPATHIA - according to a source, it is sea sickness. I didn't even know this word exists! Ha! If you know me, I carry anything mentholated that's similiar to a Tiger Balm! I get motion sickness or DIZZY easily and I hate it.  But the worst feeling is NAUPATHIA!
3.Nagging. If it can be said with a good tone, then do it.

Third Wheel

Ola ola. Haven't written in a while. My sister's laptop fell into a coma (and still is) and its absence has hindered me from posting new entries despite the fact that I own a laptop. I do most editing stuff on it, so it was quite a loss. For now, I have to reconcile with Mr. hp.

Last Satruday, I was a third wheel to my parents' date. Talk about AWKWARD! Geeez. Jk. It was nice to spend time with them as usual. We had awesome Chinese food for lunch, window shopped, and had coffee, pudding, and a sandwich for merienda
